A little about me

I'm Jack Stevenson, an Australian from the coastal haven of Jan Juc on Victoria’s Surf Coast. I have recently relocated to the United Kingdom to be closer to my wife’s family.

Growing up in a vibrant surf community, it was only natural for me to follow in my dad's footsteps and become a surfer and live a life connected to the ocean.

During my high school years, I found a passion for creative pursuits like painting and design. This led me to working as a designer and product developer at the global surf brand Quiksilver. From there I could see the fast paced trajectory of the digital landscape and was inspired by the endless possibilities so in my mid-twenties I pursued a Bachelor of Design in Digital Media Design and also obtained a Bachelor of Business in Marketing to bring traditional marketing practices into the digital realm.

Beyond work, surfing and the ocean bring me immense joy by helping me strike a balance between my personal and professional life.

I'm fortunate to have an amazing family. My daughter, Romi, and my wife, Hanna, who support me in my passion for the ocean and drive me towards my goals.

Experience

  • During my time as the Digital Marketing Manager at Patagonia Australia, I successfully led the development and execution of impactful marketing campaigns across Australia and New Zealand. I managed the company's digital marketing efforts, including pay-per-click advertising, email marketing, social media, and content marketing. My focus was on optimising consumer engagement, revenue, and building strong online communities.

  • As the Social Media Lead at Patagonia Australia & New Zealand, I played a crucial role in managing the company's social media presence. I developed and executed social media strategies to drive engagement and acquisition, managed social media platforms, engaged with followers and communities, and ensured brand integrity and consistency across all social platforms.

  • In my role as the Digital & Social Communications Coordinator, I was responsible for designing and implementing digital and social media communication strategies for Kieser Australia. I conducted market analysis, developed communication plans, managed content creation, and ensured brand consistency across digital channels.

  • As a Paid Social Marketing Specialist at Riparide, I focused on creating and implementing effective paid social media advertising campaigns. I worked closely with the marketing team to ensure on-brand messaging and effective communication with customers. I also managed organic and paid content for social media platforms and provided data-driven insights for performance optimisation.

  • As a Digital Producer at Envato, I managed the delivery of projects aimed at improving site performance and enhancing the product experience for customers. I collaborated with cross-functional teams, coordinated feature launches, and ensured smooth communication to users and the community. I also contributed to product research and development based on customer needs and market trends.

  • During my time as a Product Developer & Designer at Quiksilver Europe, I played a key role in product development and design within the Technical Division. I collaborated with factories, graphic artists, and internal teams to develop and launch products aligned with the brand's philosophy. I managed product deadlines, communicated with international suppliers, and contributed to the brand's success.

Navigating the ever-changing digital landscape, I remain hands-on and embrace new ideas and technologies.
